What motivated us
to develop Piomatix
Drivers are under constant stress on the road, from having to perform a series of complex operations
while digesting a continuous stream of information.
Pioneer decided drivers could use a stress-free, simpler, and better-organized means of
seeking, accessing, and receiving information while driving.
To help ease drivers’ stress, we came up with the concept of a three-step solution:
Step 1: Keep track of what is going on inside and outside the vehicle, based on the information gathered through edge devices
Step 2: Choose the most relevant service to the driver
Step 3: Deliver the service at the exact right time via intuitive voice and visual user interfaces
That concept has evolved into Piomatix.

Piomatix is a Mobility AI Platform, developed in-house by Pioneer.
It is designed to provide the right information and navigational assistance to the driver at the right time,
based on a constant stream of data collected inside and outside the vehicle.

Our ingenuous situational-assessment engine leverages a vast amount of mobility data held by Pioneer and our corporate partners, as well as an voice- and image-recognition AI, to keep track of what is going on inside and outside the vehicle, including the driver’s workload, and judge their needs on a real-time basis. This engine then uses intuitive voice and visual user interfaces to provide at the exact right time information and navigational guidance most relevant to the safety and security of the vehicle and the driver, as well as to its location.
