Jan. 7, 2008, Tokyo, Japan -Pioneer Corporation announced today the formation of Technical Audio Devices Laboratories Inc., a new subsidiary developed to elevate the standard of performance for high fidelity audio equipment. This new company will represent the highest expression of Pioneer technology in all categories evolving what the TAD has meant in the professional recording studio for over 30 years to the world of high-end home.
TAD is leading quality loudspeakers for professional markets. Since1978, TAD Pro Audio loudspeakers have been used in recording studios and professional sound production environments worldwide. TAD Labs Inc. will undertake the development, manufacturing and commercialization of new high-end speakers and electronics.
The new company is planning to release a high-efficient Class-A power amplifier that realizes a 70% reduction in energy consumption. Its first power amplifier and current TAD Reference One loudspeaker will be showcased at the 2008 International CES in Las Vegas (CES Booth: The Venetian Tower Ven 34-208) from January 7 to 10.
