October 1, 2004, Tokyo, Japan - Pioneer Corporation announced today the changes in management as follows:

• Mr. Kenji Tokuyama is appointed Executive Officer; Vice President of Plasma Display Business Company (in charge of OEM business) and President of Pioneer Plasma Display Corporation.

• Mr. Takashi Kobayashi, previously Senior Managing Director and Representative Director responsible for Corporate Communications Division, Customer Satisfaction Planning & Coordination Division, Intellectual Property Division, and Business Development Division, becomes Senior Managing Director and Representative Director responsible for Corporate Communications Division, Customer Satisfaction Planning & Coordination Division, and Intellectual Property Division.
• Mr. Sumitaka Matsumura, previously Executive Officer; Deputy General Manager of R&D Group and in charge of AV & Recording Systems Development Center, becomes Executive Officer; Deputy General Manager of R&D Group and in charge of Optical Disk & Systems Development Center.
