for Environmental Protection
The Pioneer Group will make efforts to always contribute to maintaining and realizing the rich and safe global environment through our corporate activities, based on the general understanding that it is one of our corporate missions to maintain, improve, and hand over the global environment to the next generation.
Based on the Philosophy of Environmental Protection, we recognize the following four key environmental issues as priorities and strive for continual improvement.
- Prevention of Global Warming
To help achieve a carbon neutral society, we will systematically reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout our business activities and the entire product life cycle by improving energy efficiency and promoting the use of renewable energy.
- Conservation of Resources, and Recycling
We strive to promote resource circular through initiatives such as reducing use of materials, water and other resources in our business process, while encouraging use of recycled material and promotion of material recycling.
- Management of Chemical Substances
We strive to manage the use of chemical substances in our operations, and to reduce or substitute chemical substances that may have adverse impacts on the environment and human health. We also thoroughly prevent pollution associated with the use of chemical substances.
- Preservation of Biodiversity
We recognize biodiversity conservation as a key environmental priority and promote business activities and social contribution activities that take ecosystem, including forests and oceans into consideration. We also support sustainable land use and the conservation of forests.
In promoting environmental protection activities, we are guided by the following four fundamental principles.

We strive to comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations, and establish voluntary internal management standards where necessary to ensure appropriate environmental management.
- Disclosure of Information, and Communication
We proactively disclose environment related information and respect the opinions obtained through dialogue with internal and external stakeholders, incorporating them into our environmental activities.
- Environmental Education
We strive to promote environmental education and training aimed at developing employees who are aware of environmental protection and able to put that awareness into action.
- Social Contribution
As a responsible corporate citizen, we strive to protect global and local environment and contribute to the sustainable development of society. We also contribute to addressing environment and social challenges through our business activities.
