Pioneer Introduces Four Models of Speakers for Professional Use--- "TAD Series" ---
Tokyo, Japan, April 10, 1997 --- Pioneer Electronic Corporation has announced the introduction of four models of speaker units for professional use --- " TAD series" to the Japanese domestic market, and is planned to be exported overseas as well.
Product | Model Name | S.R.P (Ex.Tax) | Introduction Date |
---|---|---|---|
40cm Cone Woofer | TL-1601C | ¥130,000/pce. | April 21, 1997 |
25cm Cone Woofer | TL-1102 | ¥100,000/pce. | April 21, 1997 |
10cm Compression Driver | TD-4003 | ¥320,000/pce. | April 21, 1997 |
4.8cm Compression Driver | TD-2002 | ¥150,000/pce. | April 21, 1997 |
TAD (Technical Audio Devices), first developed as a monitor speaker by the Project Team organized in 1975,is the name of the professional speaker series for studios which was introduced to the market in 1979. Nowadays, these compact/high quality speaker units are highly regarded and are used at more than 200 famous studios in the world.
These four models are already loaded on Pioneer's professional studio monitor speaker systems --- Exclusive Model-2251, 2252 and 2404,and they have been highly acclaimed and have achieved good sales results. There have also been numerous requests that these units be sold separately as well. Pioneer sees these TAD speaker units as very necessary to the needs of studio engineers and also to the digital era.
1 ) TL-1601C --- 40 cm Cone woofer with less vibration.
This model has an integral-type structure of York, Plate and Frame (normally separate parts) preventing vibration at the highest level possible. The magnetic circuitry uses Alnico-Magnet to minimize the second harmonic distortion while achieving strong magnetic flux which results in a smooth and rapid response and sound reproduction with high resolution in wide frequency range.
2 ) TD-4003 --- Compression driver with 10 cm beryllium diaphragm.
Using the rear compression method, this model has five round slits on phasing plug which corrects out-of-phase sound waves. The driver employs a light weight and solid 10 cm beryllium diaphragm to prevent vibration and a neodymium magnetic circuit capable of 20,000 gauss of high-density magnetic flux.It is able to achieve wide frequency range reproduction and high quality linearity.
3 ) TL-1102 --- High-performance 25 cm cone woofer with strong magnetic circuitry.
For magnetic circuitry using this strong Alnico-Magnet, integral- type York and Plate structure achieves a steady flow of powerful input. As for the cone, a unique film is laminated to the specially selected natural pulp, and a special coating which cuts on vibration is on its surface. This strong, light weight, high- performance cone has almost no degeneration.
4 ) TD-2002 --- 4.8 cm compression driver with beryllium diaphragm.
This model employs a beryllium diaphragm which achieves light weight and pure acoustic sound. By improving the shape of the phasing plug, and using feeding place and cover which reduce the negative influence of sound pression and vibration, this model achieves high efficient resolution and low distortion in a wide frequency range.
