Pioneer Absorbs One of Its Wholly-Owned Subsidiaries
Pioneer Corporation (“the Company”) today announced that it has completed the absorption of Tohoku Pioneer Corporation (“Tohoku Pioneer”), previously its wholly-owned subsidiary and the Pioneer Group’s principal entity for the sound business.
Effective October 1, 2026, the Company remains as the surviving entity after the merger. All services, business operations, and contractual rights and obligations formerly provided, undertaken, or held by Tohoku Pioneer have been transferred to the Company.
Furthermore, the technical assets and expertise accumulated by Tohoku Pioneer over the years in the development of industry-leading sound products and solutions—including car speakers—have been integrated into the Company’s operational structure.
This merger strengthens the Pioneer Group’s ability to create greater value in line with the CarUX Group’s vision of “Pioneering In-Car User eXperience” by leveraging the shared technical assets and expertise of both groups.
