Pioneer's Car Navigation System is Adopted in Suzuki Motor Corporation's compact SUV, VITARA for the European Market

Pioneer's car navigation system was adopted as a factory-installed option in Suzuki Motor Corporation's compact SUV, VITARA, for the European market. This is the third Suzuki vehicle to adopt Pioneer's car navigation system for the European market following the S-CROSS and Swift.

The car navigation system adopted in this vehicle is equipped with a 9-inch high-precision HD display featuring a frame design that fits into the dashboard and accommodates maps of 48 European countries and 17 languages. In addition to providing an optimum route in an easy-to-follow way, leveraging visible maps and information display, the system is interfaced with smartphones through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ and with various other media. It uses a customizable home screen featuring three types of area displays, "navigation," "vehicle information" and "audio," enabling users to easily operate a wide variety of functions, and by linking with the Suzuki Connect service, various notifications can be displayed on the navigation screen.

The car navigation system adopted in this vehicle for Europe is scheduled to be deployed in the VITARA to be sold in various regions overseas in the future.

Equipped with a 9-inch high-precision HD display, compatible with the GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and EGNOS satellite observation systems. Equipped with a high-performance navigation function that guides the driver to an optimum route in an easy-to-follow way, leveraging visible maps and information display, and updated data to the latest map can be downloaded free of charge for seven years after the vehicle purchase. Real-time vehicle information such as distance covered, distance to empty and average gas mileage can be displayed on a large screen, and the system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™, allowing users to play music from a smartphone, send and receive messages, and make hands-free calls. Moreover, it supports a variety of media, including a digital radio broadcasting system (Digital Audio Broadcast) and Bluetooth® connection and is interfaced with a variety of media including USB memory.
