Pioneer Display Audio
and Premium Sound System Factory-Installed
in the Toyota Yaris ATIV Sedan Marketed in Thailand
Pioneer has been supplying Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd. with the Display Audio units and the Premium Audio Systems to be factory-installed* in the new Toyota Yaris ATIV sedan, which debuted in Thailand in August 2022.
The Pioneer Display Audio is equipped with a large nine-inch screen and compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™; the Pioneer Premium Sound System consists of six Pioneer-branded speakers. In the product development phase of these two, our marketing team researched lifestyles of prospective Thai customers and their music preferences. Engineers incorporated the findings from the research into fine-tuning the sound field generated by these products inside the vehicle. The result is a natural sound field made possible by the combination of dynamic bass and clear mid and high. It is a sound system that makes everyone on board happy.
Yaris ATIV is the second Toyota model to feature the Pioneer Display Audio, after the Toyota Veloz compact MPV, in Thailand. It is equipped with a large nine-inch screen that displays the control screen of either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto™. The unit is capable of showing video feed from an on-board camera in the panoramic view monitor mode, playing radio, streaming music from mobile devices via Bluetooth®, and allowing hands-free calls. The Display Audio unit installed in Yaris ATIV reproduces a sound field tailored to the vehicle.
It is a six-speaker system consisting of two high-grade soft dome tweeters having grills with Pioneer brand on them mounted in the right and left A pillars of the vehicle and four 16 cm slim speakers with a reverse magnetic circuit mounted in the interior side of the front and rear doors. The combination of these speakers delivers an excellent sound with rich bass and clear mid and high.
