Since 2006 Pioneer has been participating in a "Matching Gift" program, in which the company matches the amount of donations for charity collected from its employees.
The Pioneer Group engages in activities to conserve resources through various initiatives.
Pet bottle caps are classified and collected with the cooperation of employees. The caps are sold as recyclable resources and the profits are donated to JCV*.
The certified non-profit organization, Vaccine to children in the world, Japan Committee Vaccine for the World's Children (JCV) is an international support organization which carries out activities to deliver vaccines to "children whose lives can be improved by preventing infectious diseases" and generate futures for the children.
Tohoku Pioneer (Yamagata Prefecture) donated unnecessary files which were found through 5S* activities to schools in the region for the purpose of reuse. A total of 190 files were donated to 10 organizations as of the fiscal ending March 2017, and were effectively used.
5S: This is a method for improving workplace environments based on five activities and in Japanese means, "Seiri (sorting)", "Seiton (orderly)", "Seisou (cleaning)", "Seiketsu (cleanliness)" and "Sitsuke (discipline)."
