English Name Change
TOKYO - The Company announced today that its English (only) name was officially changed from "PIONEER ELECTRONIC CORPORATION" to "PIONEER CORPORATION" at its 53rd Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held in Tokyo on June 29, 1999.
Please note that this change is in name only, and we remain the same company that has been, and will remain, a world leader in the fields of consumer, commercial and industrial AV (audio/video) products.
Pioneer's shares are traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Osaka Securities Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange (ticker symbol PIO), and the Amsterdam Exchanges.
