Pioneer Announces Organizational Realignments

Pioneer Corporation announced organizational realignments, which became effective on January 1, 2023, as follows.

Organizational Realignments

(1) Mobility Consumer Company

We have consolidated Pioneer Group’s broad range of resources for the consumer business into the newly established Mobility Consumer Company1, responsible for expanding the Group’s consumer business by leveraging its globally recognized brand and global sales network. More specifically, three business units—the After Market Business Management Group, responsible for planning and developing consumer products and formerly under Mobility Products Company; the NP2 Business Division, responsible for planning and developing new business models; and Pioneer Sales & Marketing Corp.—have been realigned into Mobility Consumer Company. In addition, the Innovation and New Product Development (INPD) Group has been established under Mobility Consumer Company. The INPD Group is tasked with developing innovative new products and services and is headed by Siva Subramanian as Chief Innovation Officer of the INPD Group, who has an impressive professional career in developing and launching mobility SaaS business models in a global company. The INPD Group is expected to play a key role in accelerating the development and growth of the Group’s consumer business.

*1 Shiro Yahara, President & CEO of Pioneer Corporation, assumed the additional position of CEO of Mobility Consumer Company, effective January 1, 2023.
*2 NP stands for Next Product, Next Platform, and Next Pioneer.

(2) Customer First Division

The newly established Customer First Division has assumed all the responsibilities performed by the former Quality Assurance Division while consolidating customer support operations for the SaaS business across the Pioneer Group. This Division is expected to play a key role in enhancing the Group’s customer services and putting into practice the Group’s policy of giving the top priority to fulfilling customer satisfaction.

Pioneer is determined to transform itself into a solutions and services company under the Group Vision 2025 of “Creating the Future of Mobility Experiences.”
