Established in Tendo City, Yamagata Prefecture (Japan) as a speaker manufacturing plant through the capital contribution of Pioneer Corporation.
1974
Begins car stereo production for Pioneer Corporation.
Builds a press factory for parts production.
1981
Constructs Yonezawa Plant to launch labor-saving speaker assembly operations.
1984
Begins factory automation (FA) systems production and marketing.
1985
Obtains N.I.V. (no inspection validation) from General Motors, U.S.A.
1988
Enters North American market. (Establishes a U.S. sales subsidiary)
Begins electronic accessory business.
1989
Launches production at the manufacturing subsidiary in Mexico.
1993
Obtains ISO 9001 certification for Tendo Plant and ISO 9002 certification for Yonezawa Plant.
1995
Launches production at the manufacturing subsidiaries in Thailand and China.
1997
Establishes a subsidiary in Hong Kong to procure parts and materials from Asian suppliers.
Succeeds in the world's first mass production of OLED displays.
Obtains QS-9000 certification for HQs, Tendo Plant, Yonezawa Plant and manufacturing subsidiaries.
1998
Builds FA Management Office and Precision Molding Center.
1999
Begins mass production of OLED displays for car stereos.
Obtains ISO 14001 certification for HQs, Tendo Plant and Yonezawa Plant.
2000
Listed on the Second Section of Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Starts supplying OLED displays for Motorola mobile phones.
2002
Accepts the transfer of optical disc production system business from Pioneer Video Corporation.
2003
Obtains ISO/TS 16949 certification for quality management systems.
2004
Builds an annex to FA facilities in Tendo, Japan.
Establishes new FA office and facilities in Shanghai, China.
2005
Establishes a manufacturing subsidiary in Vietnam.
2007
Delisted from the Second Section of Tokyo Stock Exchange due to TOB by Pioneer Corporation.
2011
Tohoku Pioneer EG Corporation is newly launched for FA business.
2015
Mogami Denki Corporation, one of the affiliates, establishes a manufacturing subsidiary in Vietnam.
2017
Establishes a manufacturing subsidiary (TPMX) in Mexico.
2018
Transfers all stocks of Tohoku Pioneer EG Corporation to DENSO Corporation.
2019
Transfers all stocks of Piotech Corporation to NIPRO Corporation.
2022
Spins off Yonezawa Plant (OLED and ODM/EMS business base).
Obtains ISO 45001 certification.
